The area has excellent transport connections with Poole mainline railway station being located within a 20 minute walk from the Site, providing access to London Waterloo, with a fastest journey time of 2 hours. Poole Harbour also provides regular ferry services to Jersey and Cherbourg.
The area is well connected with the town lying immediately south of the A35, the main south coast link road which runs from Honiton (Devon) to Southampton, where it leads into the M27 and M3, providing a direct route to the M25 and London.
Poole is situated between Bournemouth and the Natural World Heritage Jurassic Coast, which offers some of England’s finest beaches, as well as offering scenic and ocean views for local residents to enjoy. There are also a number of popular walking paths, adventure trails and golf courses in the surrounding area. The local area is predominately residential and would appeal to a wide range of demographic including young professionals, families and the older generation.
The town is currently undergoing a major redevelopment project proposed to spend approximately £134 million. The project involves the creation of more than 400 homes, offices, hotel, leisure centre and a new bus station.The Dolphin Shopping Centre has recently undergone a major refurbishment and has attracted tenants including H&M, New Look, Deichmann, JD Sports and Smiggle.
